This is the RF part of mini PCI module on WAP54G (and may be other models)

Firmware: v1.08, Aug 05, 2003

1. Solder 1k SMD resistor as shown on pictures with yellow... and that's ALL :)

2. If you don't use 2 antennas, you may win 1-2dB more with removing the antenna switch, and short the the PCB pads as shown with cyan (you can skip this step).

3. And the last, you can fill the space between power amplifier and top metal shield with some plastic thermo conductor material. (PA don't heat for me, so you can skip this step).

That's ALL ! 30-60 sec. after power on it increases it's power ... I recommend to do only step 1, and if it works, then you can make step 2 and 3 (optionally).
